Archipelagos Hotel

Our stay at Archipelagos Hotel in Rethymno was nothing short of exceptional. Although it’s officially rated as a 4-star hotel, for us, it felt every bit like a 5-star experience — and more. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the hotel’s manager, Mr. Stelios. He greeted us with a genuine smile and made us feel at home right away. Throughout our stay, he was constantly present, offering thoughtful recommendations for places to eat, beaches to visit, and local attractions we might have otherwise missed. Thanks to his insight, we got to explore the real, vibrant side of Crete — not just the touristy parts. Stelios has a rare gift. He understands people, anticipates their needs, and makes you feel like more than just a guest — he makes you feel like a friend. You can tell he's been in this business for a long time, and he truly loves what he does. We've already promised to return in the next couple of years, this time with our child — and I can’t wait to see Stelios again and experience his warm hospitality once more. The hotel itself is spotless. Our room was recently renovated — everything smelled fresh and new, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the view... breathtaking. One of the best in Rethymno. The spacious balcony was also a great bonus. The breakfast was fresh and diverse every morning, with options for every taste. The food by the pool was a huge (and delicious) surprise — high-quality, beautifully prepared, and served quickly. The entire staff was polite, efficient, and always ready to help. Housekeeping was impeccable — not just surface-level cleaning, but real attention to detail. Archipelagos isn’t just a place to stay. It’s a place to feel welcome, to feel cared for, to relax, and to make memories. Mr. Stelios and his team created something special here — and we’ll always be grateful for it.

The stay was incredible. The staff was very helpful, they all went out of their way to make our stay perfect. We had no problem during our stay in the hotel. The rooms were very clean, as well as common areas of the hotel. The location is great, the area is very quiet, but it's close to the city centre, the beach is across the street, a lot of great waterfront restaurants are nearby. The breakfast in the hotel was great, the food was diverse, fresh and very tasty. The staff helped us with everything, arranged a lot of things for us, we didn't worry about anything there. In general, the experience in this hotel was amazing, we were very pleased with staff, and it definitely exceeded our expectations.

This property was amazing. The view was spectacular and the staff was extremely kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. It was the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had. The pools were clean and gorgeous views from as well as working elevators which was needed for my daughter with a disability. Out front there is an amazing swimming area in the sea and we walked to a fabulous taverna for dinner and were near a grocery, the bus station and easy walk to town. I recommend highly.

Amazing views, very clean, super genuine friendly staff, close to the Oldtown and strip. Would highly recommend this hotel. Huge thanks to Andreas the barman and reception staff couldn't do enough for me, even helped change my room to a room with a bright pool and a late checkout aswell as all the hard working cleaning staff. All the staff are kind and hard working and deserve high praise.

Clean, great sea view, close to old town, the staff, especially the owner are exceptional. He gave us recommendations for beaches , day trips, restaurants, helped with everything. Made our trip a memorable one. We had a room on the 8th floor. The view was stunning. There is also a small private pool for the floor. Nice too. Can’t wait to go back.
